AutoCAD(2D/3D Modelling)

Course Curriculum:

Introduction to AutoCAD It covers the basics of AutoCAD by introducing users to the user interface, essential commands and navigation. Students get a general understanding of the workflow.
Starting with Sketching The sketching concepts such as how to create basic geometric shapes, lines and arcs using drawing tools. Methods of precise drawing are also explored.
Working with Drawing Aids Drawing aids help users in creating systematic and symmetrical drawings. Essential tools such as grids, polar tracking and object snaps.
Editing Sketched Objects Editing and modification of sketched objects by using editing commands such as move, rotate, copy, scale, trim and extent are taught here.
Layers Students learn to organise their drawings by creating layers. Assigning objects to specific layers better visibility and control.
Creating Text and Tables How to incorporate texts and tables in AutoCAD designs. Students learn to add annotations, dimensions and tables.
2D Drawing 2D drawings use complex tools and techniques with which students create detailed floor plans, and elevation and section views.
3D Modeling 3D models are created using extrusion, lofting, revolving and other 3D modelling commands. 3D realistic objects and designs are created.
Hatching Drawings In hatching, closed boundaries are filled with patterns or textures. Students are taught to apply hatching to represent materials, sections or other design elements in the drawings.
Rendering and Visualization To bring life to 3D objects, rendering and visualisation are important. Application of materials, lighting and texture are used to create realistic and visually appealing representations of 3D designs.
